Superhardworking!

I had a chat with my cousin working in Jakarta. She's working in a large company owned by PT Telkom located in the center of the city. Unbelievably, finishing work at 11 p.m. is a daily activity, once she said. Then, speaking of working in Jakarta, many people say working in Jakarta giving you more free time (compared to working in Tokyo, for example). The reality is not always nice. After you spend hours working at the office, you must be struggling with the traffic jam on the way home. This gets me more confused, since I am supposed to decide soon where I wanna work after graduation.

I am getting used to live in Japan, since I have been living here for almost six years. I know the language, I know the culture, but however, I am still who I am, an Indonesian who will never be Japanese. I am also afraid of working condition here where people work very hard, too hard they can die. I call them superhardworking people since it's usual for Japanese to work overtime. They are so team oriented that when working on projects, it's not usual to give up their private life in order to get the projects done.

When I called my parents and told them about my situation, my mom suggested me to work in Singapore instead, where the working environment is quite good as it is the most developed country in ASEAN. What's more, there are also many Japanese companies subsidiaries there so then I don't need to worry since I can still use my Japanese and make use my experience in Japan. I think this is a great idea since Singapore is very close to Indonesia, I can go home anytime, and it's warm enough (not to mention hot climate) compared to Japan.

Jakarta, Tokyo, and Singapore, well I think I should choose one. Okay, enough for now. Stop daydreaming and get back to work. Please wish me luck to get the best one for my future. Hope I can make it! See you!
